Join LEEP's Mission: Strategic Communications Specialist Role (2026)

Imagine a world where one in three children are poisoned by something as common as paint. This is the stark reality LEEP (Lead Exposure Elimination Project) is fighting to change. But here's where it gets even more critical: they need a Strategic Communications Specialist to amplify their mission and drive global action. Could this be you? Apply before February 23, 2026, and join the fight against childhood lead poisoning.

Position Overview

LEEP, a dynamic nonprofit dedicated to eradicating childhood lead poisoning, is on the hunt for a Strategic Communications Specialist to join their External Relations Team. This isn’t just any communications role—it’s a chance to shape how the world understands and engages with LEEP’s groundbreaking work. From translating complex scientific research into compelling narratives to crafting donor communications that inspire action, this role is at the heart of LEEP’s global impact.

Why This Role Matters

Lead poisoning affects approximately one in three children worldwide, primarily through lead paint. LEEP is leading the charge by supporting governments in enforcing regulations and helping manufacturers switch to lead-free alternatives. But their work doesn’t stop there—they’re also piloting interventions to tackle lead exposure from spices, cosmetics, and other sources. Since 2020, LEEP has initiated programs in 40 countries, completed 33 paint studies, and supported regulatory commitments in 18 nations. This role is your opportunity to help tell these stories and drive further change.
